What Is DoorDash Crimson?
DoorDash Crimson is DoorDash’s current banking and payment product for Dashers. It replaced DasherDirect (previously powered by Payfare) in early 2025 and is now powered by Starion Bank, Member FDIC.
The big difference from DasherDirect is that Crimson is fully integrated into the Dasher app — no separate app needed. Everything from checking your balance to managing your card lives inside the same app you already use to dash.

How to Set Your DoorDash Crimson PIN
Your PIN is created when you first activate your Crimson card. Here’s how the setup works:
Step 1: Open the Dasher app Make sure you’re logged into the Dasher app on your smartphone.
Step 2: Go to the Earnings tab Tap the Earnings tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Access DoorDash Crimson Tap the DoorDash Crimson entry point. This takes you into your full Crimson banking experience.
Step 4: Activate your card If you haven’t activated your card yet, follow the on-screen activation steps. You’ll be prompted to create a 4-digit PIN as part of this process.
