When people search "Rocket Money won't let me cancel," they usually mean one of two things — "I can't cancel a subscription Rocket Money is tracking" or "I can't cancel my Rocket Money Premium account itself." This guide covers both, with verified walkthroughs.

When Rocket Money can't cancel a subscription

Some subscriptions can't be cancelled through Rocket Money's service — they require self-cancellation through the merchant. Common causes:

Apple App Store-billed subscriptions

If your subscription comes from APPLE.COM/BILL, you must cancel through iOS:

  1. On your iPhone, open Settings.
  2. Tap your Apple ID name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Find the subscription.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Google Play-billed subscriptions

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon (top-right).
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions.
  4. Find the subscription.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription.

Provider not yet supported

Rocket Money's cancellation network covers many merchants but not all. New, niche, or recently-changed services may not be in the integration list yet.

Bot/CAPTCHA roadblocks

Some merchants intentionally block automated cancellation — gym memberships are notorious. Phone-only cancel paths and in-person cancel requirements fall here too.

Self-service-only by policy

Brokerages and many financial services require the account holder personally for fraud-prevention. Rocket Money won't be able to cancel these.

What changes after each action

Common errors and fixes

"Cancel This For Me" doesn't appear — Rocket Money doesn't yet support cancellation for that specific merchant. Use the merchant's own cancel flow.

Charged after cancelling Premium — either the cancellation didn't process (no email confirmation) or the charge happened in the prepaid period before cancel took effect.

Account deletion not visible — make sure you're using the website, not the app. Account deletion lives under Profile on the web.

Apple/Google subscription not showing — verify you're signed in with the correct Apple ID or Google account.
